Heuni

Background information

The Swedish Ministry of Justice established in 2005 a major award called The Stockholm Prize in Criminology, to be granted annually starting in June 2006. HEUNI has participated in the nomination of prize takers. A scientific symposium is attached to the award festivities. In the 2009 Symposium HEUNI organised sessions on the following topics: prison overcrowding, rehabilitation and healthy prison, security in Scandinavian prisons, JUSTIS, and the prevention of organised crime.
