Background information

HEUNI offers short-term scholarships for post-graduate students and junior practitioners in the field of criminal policy. These scholarships enable their recipients to visit HEUNI in order to carry out their own work or to become acquainted with the work of the Institute and relevant Finnish agencies. The scholarships can also be used to visit other European locations.

Since its establishment, HEUNI has granted short-time scholarships to visit HEUNI for about 200 European post-graduate students or junior practitioners. This allows them to carry out research or get acquainted with the work of the UN or visit agencies of their interest. The scholarship covers travel and accommodation expenses and a per diem.
